CHIMERAS

Chimera definition includes all the composite creatures possessing several animal attributes, and impossible dreams as well.  Herein, Michel Lévy proposes a contemporary interpretation through chimera and affixes a solemn and fleshless face on an animal body in decomposition.  Confronting the most horrid bestiality with human anguishes, he proposes here an interpretation of the pangs of Death which are watching the distraught human being, with his rags, or the still pathetic fragility of  man's ego, who is wreathing himself after having burned his objects of vice, thinking this way having protected  his moral virtue.
